Rayference SRL

Nicolas Misk is a Research Engineer at Rayference, specializing in radiative transfer and remote sensing technologies. He plays a key role in developing and maintaining tools for comparing Radiative Transfer Models (RTMs) using Python in a distributed environment. His work with Eradiate, an open-source 3D radiative transfer model, includes the simulation of satellite images in the aim of reaching an accuracy of less than 1%. Nicolas contributes to Earth observation (EO) calibration/validation efforts, integrating advanced algorithms from the scientific community, and analyzing their uncertainties. His scientific results led him to integrate the Q-Forestlab of Ghent university in 2024 as a PhD student. Within SATACI he is the WP leader on the uncertainty characterisation and propagation within scientific study 1.
